Shadow (Divine)
Secret · Magical
Shadow Realm rewinds enemies and temporarily amplifies Magical allies; permanent spirit summons add damage and Stun coverage.
Trait direction
Unbound for summon scaling; Primordial is the broad fallback.
8th Sword (Berserk)
Secret · Physical
Teleports to priority targets, Stuns and gains permanent damage from takedowns. Berserk rewards early stacking in longer runs.
Trait direction
Unbound for the highest carry ceiling; damage or speed rolls while building.
Crimson (Brother)
Exclusive · Magical
Marks enemies, triggers delayed explosions and leaves damaging pools. The active channels repeated damage along a selected line.
Trait direction
Unbound for raw scaling; Draconic if DOT contribution is the priority.
Toy Maker
Exclusive · Psychic
Summons blockers on paths instead of attacking. Toy health scales from current damage, making lane count and placement especially important.
Trait direction
Unbound is unusually efficient because the unit is already single-placement.
True Saint (Holy)
Exclusive · Magical
Marks enemies for critical detonations and can temporarily take damage from three nearby allies to power its active window.
Trait direction
A relevant mid-tier crit or damage roll; avoid an expensive chase early.
Cursed Student (True Love)
Mythic · Physical
Copies a nearby ally's attack every third regular attack. Equipment turns Bleed stacks into short-lived spirit summons.
Trait direction
Unbound for scaling; Draconic is a valid Bleed-oriented stop.
Elf Mage (Unleashed)
Mythic · Magical
Builds Arcane Charges into line, circle and full-AoE follow-ups while repeated charge cycles increase spell damage.
Trait direction
Forsaken to compound frequent follow-up attacks and crit scaling.
Flame Emperor (Reincarnate)
Mythic · Magical
Spreads Burn to nearby unburned targets and can place a Wall of Fire, making the kit strongest in a dedicated Burn setup.
Trait direction
Draconic for reported DOT damage and cost efficiency.
Hollow (Blaze)
Mythic · Physical
Converts existing Burn into Austere Flames when attacking or when Burn ends, so the unit depends on consistent Burn application.
Trait direction
Draconic; pair with Flame Emperor or another reliable Burn source.
Lady Giant (Envy)
Mythic · Physical
Creates walls and rock follow-ups, then transforms for much higher damage and range at the cost of slower attack timing.
Trait direction
Primordial offsets Giant-form speed while adding damage and range.
Puppet (Telekinetic)
Mythic · Psychic
Marks the strongest enemy for increased incoming damage, rewinds enemies and can turn marked kills into defensive dolls.
Trait direction
Unbound for damage-scaled dolls; Primordial for general uptime.
Reaper (Released)
Mythic · Physical
Gains permanent damage and crit chance by attacking different enemy types; critical hits also improve attack timing.
Trait direction
Forsaken fits the kit's existing critical loop better than single-placement Unbound.
Salmon Sorcerer (Grade 1)
Mythic · Magical
Applies Slow through upgrades and Staggers enemies that enter the inner half of its range, protecting an established kill zone.
Trait direction
Primordial for broad stats; Bolt or Optics can be a cheaper control-focused stop.
String Demon (Awakened)
Mythic · Magical
Cocoons enemies until time or hit count breaks the Stun, while linked allies create coordinated follow-up attacks.
Trait direction
Primordial supports speed, range and hybrid damage/control value.
Ice Queen
Legendary · Magical
Finishes low-health enemies more efficiently and applies a two-second Freeze on a cooldown.
Trait direction
Bolt or Optics for more reliable control; do not overinvest.
Greed
Legendary · Physical
Deals increased damage to Boss-type enemies, making it a straightforward early single-target specialist.
Trait direction
Limit Breaker or another usable damage roll while it remains on the team.
Forbidden Teacher
Legendary · Magical
Buffs nearby Magical units, with the damage bonus increasing through upgrades. Particularly relevant beside Shadow or other Magical carries.
Trait direction
Optics can improve buff coverage; preserve rare rerolls for a carry.
Ramen Guy
Legendary · Physical
Increases Yen earned from kills by 50%, but selling refunds only 10% of total cost. Place with a payback plan.
Trait direction
Investor is the role-perfect target; stop rather than chasing combat traits.
Scissor
Legendary · Physical
Repeated attacks against the same enemy stack a damage bonus, which makes it more useful against targets that survive multiple cycles.
Trait direction
Speed or crit rolls help sustained targeting; keep the budget modest.
Water Princess
Legendary · Magical
Shields the nearest ally from one debuff and regenerates the shield after 15 seconds.
Trait direction
Optics for placement flexibility; the utility does not require a rare DPS trait.
The Hero
Legendary · Physical
Buffs nearby Physical units, with the damage bonus growing at each upgrade. Use only when the carry actually benefits.
Trait direction
Optics for buff coverage; save high-end rerolls for the Physical carry.
How to read the finder
Tags describe jobs, not power
A Control tag means the kit can delay or reposition enemies. It does not mean that every map, cooldown or placement makes the control equally valuable.
Trait direction is a decision aid
Recommendations combine published effects with current kit analysis. They are not a claim that every account should chase the rarest trait.
Check exact rates with the Anime Expeditions traits calculator, build a lineup with the Anime Expeditions team builder, then use the cross-source tier list to judge investment confidence.
Sources and freshness
Names, rarity, damage type and core ability behavior were summarized from the July 17 full-kit reference by Pro Game Guides. Trait directions for major damage units were compared with the July 16 analysis from Destructoid. Summaries are intentionally shorter than the source ability descriptions and emphasize player decisions.
