What should you farm first?
Do not farm gear for a bench unit
Use the team builder first. An exclusive passive is valuable only when the unit already fills a real damage, control or support gap.
Match the current bottleneck
Kunai and Warrior's Axe point toward faster attacks; Magic Orb adds range; Katana and Magic Book specialize by damage type. Compare the roll you actually own.
Prefer a kit-changing passive
The listed Mastery pieces have a 5% chance and 20 pity in the source table. Confirm the live panel, then compare your real clear rate in the farming calculator.
Do not chase max rolls too early
Current guides report equipment rerolls from Challenges and the Gold Shop for 2,500 Gold, with locks for preserving one stat. Verify the live price before spending.

Three decisions stats alone cannot answer
Burn engine: Emperor's Attire + Hell's Flower
Wildfire spreads Burn from Flame Emperor; Radial Flames converts a finished Burn inside Hollow's range. That makes placement and reliable application part of the build—not just the equipment roll.
Attack volume: Webbed Fruit
String Demon triggers a cocoon after five regular attacks, but the team must land ten hits before five seconds expire to get the listed damage. Lower SPA helps both halves of that loop.
Control value: Technique Amplifier and Boulder
Slow and walls buy attack cycles. Their value depends on lane length, placement and the damage already covering that lane, so they should not be ranked by raw damage alone.

Sources, confidence and known limits
The exact names, unit matches, stat ranges, passive text, Mastery locations, 5% chance and 20-pity claims were transcribed from Ishan Adhikary's Beebom guide, All Anime Expeditions Equipment and What They Do, published July 16 and updated July 17. That is one detailed independent table, not an official database.
Eliza Crichton-Stuart's GAMES.GG EA+ release report independently names Boulder, Calamity's Eye, Elven Battle Staff, Emperor's Attire, Hair Bells, Hell's Flower and Hexed Blade. Nikola Savic's Pro Game Guides unit ability reference supports the surrounding kit context. Neither secondary source confirms every equipment roll or drop rate, so the finder labels cross-checked names separately from the detailed table.
Two records—Spirit of the Moonblade and Hair Bells—show exact example percentages instead of a published min/max range. Shinigami Sword's map remains TBA. We preserve those uncertainties instead of turning the examples into false roll ranges.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best equipment in Anime Expeditions?+
There is no defensible universal best item. Unit-specific gear can unlock a powerful passive, while a strong standard roll may better solve damage, SPA or range until the exclusive is available. Match the item to the unit and mode.
How do you get unit-specific equipment?+
The July 17 guide table lists most exclusive pieces in a matching Mastery stage at a 5% chance with 20 pity, plus Armory Forge crafting. Hexed Blade is listed through crafting rather than a Mastery drop. Confirm the live reward panel and recipe.
Can every unit use standard equipment?+
The current guide says yes. Standard equipment is the flexible category, while named exclusive pieces require their matching unit and usually its evolved form.
Should I evolve or farm equipment first?+
First confirm the target unit belongs in your team. Most exclusive pieces are reported to require the evolved form, so evolution normally comes before a dedicated exclusive-equipment grind.
Are the equipment stats guaranteed?+
No. Most published values are ranges and the game offers rerolls. Two source-table records show only one example roll, which this page labels explicitly rather than pretending it is a guaranteed value.
